I’m getting antsy for autumn to come. These hot days of summer  are getting to me. The humidity especially. So imagine my delight when I saw CANDY CORN sitting in a bin at a store I frequent. It reminded me of  the fall season, up and coming... though still months away.

I screeched with excitement. And that only intensified  when I saw Halloween stuff out and about... to boot.

Though for most people, I admit,  it’s a tad bit early to see these seasonal items on display...  but NOT for me. The timing was perfect. Gave me the emotional boost I need to get through the rest of this oppresive heat wave... one day at a time!

It cannot come too soon for me. This was a neat entry. Thanks for the reminder, TIME WILL PASS!

School stuff is at the stores already but the kids go back the first full week of August here. Thankfully I haven't seen any Halloween stuff yet, but glad you did to lighten your mood! Give me dry heat over humidity; we are having humid days because its our monsoon time. I rather have 118 degrees of dry heat than 105 of humid heat. There is a difference.

YES!!!! i can't wait for fall. i'm obsessed. i check the weather each day hoping for a sign that the temps will drop. i hate this weather with a passion. i haven't caught a glimpse of fall in the stores yet but i sure am looking!

It seems they get earlier and earlier with the seasonal displays every year. Candy corn is one of my favorites too. I mix it with honey roasted peanuts and find it very tasty. The salty and sweet is the perfect combination. I usually have some around September through November but I may have to start earlier this year.

You and me, Taryterre...I dream of Autumn days. What a delight to see candy corn in the store. I went to Hobby Lobby the other day, and they had Fall stuff out. Yes, some people think it's too early, but for me, I had a big smile on my face. I love how you have fun with the Autumn season, Taryterre. And your Autumn posts have always been wonderful in the past.

The heat is really getting to me also. It's been 106, and it zaps my energy.

Your final sentence is SO spot-on.
Emotional boosts can make such a difference. Heck, I've begun drinking my morning coffee out of my Christmas mugs. Now, if I can just remember how to reset my car's thermostat from fahrenheit to celsius!

I'm a little surprised that the Halloween stuff is out already. I know what you mean about the emotional boost about seeing something from a season you love during a season you're less than crazy about. For me, it's seeing spring things in winter. I detest winter. The stores always start putting flowers out way too early for planting, but it makes me so happy to see them every year. I hope it cools off soon for you.

I believe that its never too early to have anything really, so the store gets points for that. And look they got you all excited too!

The heat and humidity here is at a high too, although its a bit windy today which helps. Greetings to you!

Fall is my favorite season and it'll be here before we know it. Time seems to pass by faster each year. I hate the heat and humidity too, but I also hate icy roads in winter. If only spring and fall lasted longer!
