TODAY is my BIRTHDAY
...BUT...
we celebrated over the weekend.

There was
WHITE CAKE
with BUTTERCREME frosting.

It came with a
FANCY RING.Don't you love it?

And of course
there were
GIFTS.

SOME cool SNEAKERS.
PURPLE is my FAVORITE color.

A COLORFUL tunic.
And a NEW book.

Some perfume
which will make me smell like
COTTON CANDY.

A pillow that

EXPRESSES
a timeless sentiment.

MEMORIAL DAY

 HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY,
however you celebrate.
JUST make sure you take time
to REMEMBER those
 who have PASSED on.
ESPECIALLY those HEROES
who have fought to keep us safe.

UPDATE on DAUGHTER

Everything here has been in a wait and see mode regarding my daughter and this health crisis. Doctor said the spots on her lungs are small. Good news. They will be monitored. If they increase in size, change shape, they become a problem that will be addressed immediately. Right now, leave well enough, alone. What is WORRISOME is the MASS on her LIVER. Lots of blood work being taken. Next step is an MRI and ULTRASOUND. She will find out in the next day or two WHEN they are scheduled for. After those results are in, they will either do a biopsy or not??? That's all I know for now. My daughter is not a blogger. So she asked me to thank you for all the prayers you have surrounded her with. She feels God's hand at work here, guiding her through this.  One day at a time. We are cautiously optimistic.

She was my little angel. My firstborn.
She was a preemie who had to FIGHT to live.
Against ENORMOUS odds she survived.
Now 38 years later she faces
 another
health crisis.
She doesn't have all the information,yet.
Biopsies are needed.
But there is a mass and there are lesions
in the liver and lungs.
Please keep her and her children in
your PRAYERS and thoughts
if you can.

But can't chew on that with our teeth.

thumb full of meat, if you're lucky.

Don't JUDGE. There are two pieces, I know.
I'd be LYING if I said one of them
was for my husband. But it WAS.
