Mothers Day was low
key. On Saturday we took my daughter and our granddaughter with us to the Asian Buffet out of town. It’s
quite a trek to get there. BUT definitely worth the trip. It is a lovely place.
SERENE music plays in the background amidst decor that delights an armchair
traveler. Buddha, Terra Cotta figures, an unusual wood fountain, flying lions
and wall of hieroglyphics are featured inside and outside the restaurant.
The food was yummy
too. My favorite house specialty, the stuffed shrimp, was in plentiful supply,
though I helped lighten the load considerably.
After eating our
daughter headed to do some birthday shopping for our grandson who was away at
boy scout camp and couldn’t join us. My hubby then drove me to the local thrift
store where I had a blast looking for some bargains, but ultimately left empty
handed. Though my daughter had given me a pretty pot of annual flowers to take
home.
Sunday we slept in
and my husband cooked me a steamed lobster with butter for the holiday. It was
sweet and delicious and I enjoyed every bite.
And was thrilled to also receive a
bottle of my favorite perfume, Alien.
It smells outta of this world.
