TV DINNER. YES OR NO?

My husband and I are having a tug of war. I lost quite a bit of weight last year.  120-130 lbs in all. But since the end of January I have put 30 lbs back on. Part of the reason for the weight gain is lack of physical activity and mobility. I need both knees replaced. And my knees have really been hurting, so I'm not walking as much as I had been. And the other thing contributing to the added weight gain is the medication I started around the first of the year. A side effect of it, is packing on the pounds. And it's frustrating to be sure. So I've been making lots of salads, eating fresh veggies and fruit, like I always do. But I have also begun watching portion sizes again, on things with rice and pasta. Don't get me wrong. I'm not unhappy with the weight I currently am. But I do NOT want to gain anymore. So, the other day my husband made a suggestion that he thinks is a solution to this current situation. TV dinners. He doesn't call them that. But I do. He thinks if we began eating the Lean Cuisine, Smart Ones and Healthy Choice meals from the frozen food section I'd lose the weight I regained. This of course is forgetting the medication I'm on.  I don't use salt or much butter when I cook. And I make sure we eat fresh fish once or twice a week. In addition to a variety of meats... lamb, chicken, pork and beef. We eat healthy. So the thought of a meal from a cardboard box doesn't sound appetizing to me. And especially not a diet of them. Yet he intimated that it would be better than what I cooked. Should I get mad or try them? What do you think?
