"Back in 1969
the ENTIRE world
stopped
and took a collective
BREATH
when a man named
ARMSTRONG
walked upon the moon.
Today...
we wipe away our tears
and mourn his loss. "
"What was most significant
about the lunar voyage
was not that
men set foot on the moon
but that they
set eyes upon the
EARTH."
My NANA loved LOBO
Remember this song?
ABOUT a MAN named ARMSTRONG.

I remember watching this on television with my parents. I was waitressing that summer and came home from work and men were walking on the moon!I was so in awe. Still am!
That's a great tribute to a wonderful man. What a pioneer he was. I remember watching it all on TV and how exciting it was.
it is nice to reflect on that time in our lives.
May he rest in peace.
It doesn't really seem that long ago, does it? I remember the momentous moon landing - - and I also remember Lobo!
What a wonderful time in the history of man and the USA. We were a 'Can do' nation. I guess we still are, but for some reason 'cannot get a budget to work'.
From Bangor, LOVE!
What a GREAT part in history he played. Sandie
I wasn't even a year old when Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. My mom saved the newspaper and I still have it.
Taryterre,
When I heard about this, I got very sentimental because I was very young at the time but I remember this like it was yesterday. So nice of you to do a post in honor of him. I love this quote, it says a lot.

A good man. We were fortunate to have him.
