A SHOPPING EXPERIENCE

(cutting boards)

There is nothing like a  good festival  to keep you occupied on an autumn afternoon. GREAT food, music and of course vendors selling their wares. I love looking at all the homemade crafts. Don’t you? I can’t walk as much as I used to…  so my viewing time is limited.  Here are a few things I saw along the way at this particular festival.

GOURDS
BIRD FEEDERS
PLATES
GLIDER
ROCKER
SKELETON

Some of the items look pretty but with seemingly no purpose other than to decorate an empty corner of your house or yard. Do you like going to festivals this time of year... as opposed to spring? You can spend a lot of money quickly, shopping at such venues. I kept my wallet in my pocket at this one and just enjoyed the sights, sounds and smells, instead. Do you splurge or are you frugal while attending this unique kind of shopping experience?

I too like to go to festivals or arts and craft sales. I never buy anything, I'm just amazed at everyone's talent!

My walking is limited too now days but if I went I would be frugal now as I'm trying to narrow " stuff" down instead of buying more.

I do love festivals. One can usually find some very unique and beautiful things . I don't go to as many as I used too. I also cannot walk as far as I used to and some of them are huge. There are so many things to see and the food is always delicious too!

I love fall festivals, too, because I just love fall. There is so much about the season and activities that appeals to my senses!

I love looking but am like you, keep the money in the wallet. I don't need things to collect dust, have enough of those

I really love fall festivals - it's the perfect time of year. But - much like you - I can't walk much anymore because of my bad back. And I'm very frugal. I always ponder for a long time before buying anything.

Yes, it's so easy to spend money at festivals and craft fairs. I always try to have a little on hand so I can enjoy myself, but it's fun to just browse like you did. I love festivals at this time of year cause the weather is cooler and there's usually lots of goodies to eat. The plates and bird feeders look interesting and unique. I'm glad you got to go to this festival, Taryterre. I have been wanting to go to one lately.

I adore strolling through festivals! We haven't been to either of our favorites in years because of the crowds of people and Tom's mobility issues. That's a good point about the wares not really serving any purpose. Still, I love the look of that glider with customized 'fanny' room. :)

If it's a wonderful day, I'm likely to buy something small I can look back on and remember my enjoyment.

I love it when we 'accidentally' run into a festival. I love to see the friends and families as they visit and browse. We seldom buy anything other than eatables. But I love to the in-genius work of others.

I'm pretty frugal with all my shopping. I love going to festivals and just look around. Same with the fairs and craft shows. But there is usually something tempting in the food booths to buy and eat! :)

p.s. These days, because I have enough decorative items for many lifetimes, I am more discerning in my purchases. However, I like to look for things I can give as gifts. Susan
