Danny Boy by Emma Sophia (age 4)

Daddy this was your favorite song.
Since I was a little girl...
You asked me to recite it while
I was standing on your grave,
after you passed.
I did that first year and will any time I visit.

"If I am dead, as dead I well may be,
You'll come and find the place where I am lying,
And kneel and say an Ave there for me.
And I shall hear, though soft you tread above me,
And all my grave will warmer, sweeter be,
For you will bend and tell me that you love me,
And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me!"

Two years ago today you were laid to rest.
REST in PEACE.

What a very touching and incredible video. I have no doubt that your Father is listening.

Oh, my heart! What a precious child; I love how she clearly enunciates every word.
Yes, I believe our fathers are always listening.

An amazing performance both for her age and the clarity of her voice, and a lovely remembrance of your father as well.

The BEST your way as you hold the memory.

What a sweet tribute fr your dad. Danny Boy was one of my husbands favorite songs. He loved to listen to it.

I remember this song, and this is a special version sung by this young child. This was a nice post thinking of your dear Dad. I used to visit my Dad and Mom at the cemetery in my old town, and I really miss that. It's nice that you were close to your Dad, Taryterre. I was also, and I lost mine when I was only 28. But they are always with us, aren't they?
