As
predicted… it snowed a little bit here
yesterday and the day before. We are expecting more today and tomorrow. I had
hoped to ride down to the lake to drain my brain and find some solace. But
instead stayed put here at home. My hubby promises me... we’ll go there soon. The
Baker’s Cyst behind one of my knees ruptured last week and walking has been
difficult at best. I have had to use a four footed cane to shuffle around. They
say the fluid will be absorbed by my body. I’m supposed to ice it. Stay in bed,
and rest. If it’s not better in a week… I head to the doctor, get an MRI and they’ll have a look see. I’ve
had a string of bad luck recently… and felt getting the heck out of the house…
is just what I needed. But, as long as snow is falling on and off, getting out
on the hwy, probably isn’t a good idea. Too slippery. Black ice could pop up at
any time, anywhere. So I’ll vegetate
here for now. Find a good book on one of
my shelves and dive in. Nothing too deep. Maybe some ‘chic-lit’ from one of the UK or Scottish authors I usually
like around the holidays… with some
sappy story to lighten my mood. Cuddled up in a Life Is Good blanket. A cup of
hot African Autumn tea by my side. Just
thinking about it… is making me feel
better already. Do you make time to read
or just forgo it’s pleasures?
