I will be spending a quiet
weekend at home.
No dinners out, even though
the local restaurants have re-opened.
I don't want to take any chances.
I'm immune compromised
and in the 'at risk' category,
so is my hubby.
So instead, we ordered
steamed crabs from
the Eastern Shore
that will be flown in.
We're giving my daughter
and grandchildren,
some to take home
and enjoy too.

And, while eating
these delicacies...
my hubby and I
will drink a
couple specialty beers
to honor my big day,
and my interest
in the History Channel
tv show
Ancient Aliens.
Truth is folks,
when you eat crabs
you have to drink beer.
They go hand in hand.

Afterwards -
I will blow out
the candles.
There are quite a few
this year.
And we will EAT cake.
The kind with lots of thick
buttercream frosting.

Also we will be
watching to see
if we have liftoff
of SpaceX Dragon.

keeping it low key.
 Should be fun.

You know you're getting old
when your clothes
don't match.

I'm older than dirt.

Happy Birthday. It sounds like you will have a fine celebration!

I honestly think that a relaxing birthday weekend at home is better than going out - even if there wasn't a pandemic. You can enjoy the crabs and beer at your leisure and do whatever you want. I'm sure that UFO beer is out of this world! (*smile*).

Hopefully the SpaceX Dragon will launch this time around. I was looking forward to it.
By the way - I can attest to the fact that clothes don't match as we get older...
Have a fantastic birthday!

hahahahahahaha! AND a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to such an OLD young lady! I know yours will be a good one, heck you will make it so. Welcome aboard the older than dirt crowd. At times young folk feel good here, you will enjoy it.
Do have a good time, breathing is good.

Haha, Hi There. Hey I used to wear plaid pants with a floral top that just looked so right together, I always told my girls it was my "I am going to the K-Mart outfit." Truly you do have to watch out how men match clothing. :):) Happy birthday. Your dinner sounds pretty good. Blessings, stay safe, xoxo, Susie

Happy Birthday eve!!! I'm loving that selfie with the purple mask. :) Hey, your plans for the at-home feast sounds PERFECT. If given the chance, I'd do the same thing, only in my best ratty pj's and wine.
Ya, my hubby's immune compromised, too. Even my doctor told me yesterday we should reconsider driving the 15 minutes into Montgomery on account it's a 'hot spot' right now.

Happy Birthday Taryterre! Sounds like a wonderful day spent at home. Sometimes low key can be nice. My brother-in-law used to bring us King Crab from Alaska, and it was sooooo good. Your cake looks fantastic. And the buttercream frosting, YUM!
I'm glad you had a special birthday Taryterre.
