It’s that
time of the year. The time when boys and girls, men and women... go deep into
their closets, to find the most coveted article of clothing... for the season. The
UGLY SWEATER. We tenderly remove it from it’s hidden home and bring it out into the light. And... an old familiar feeling
stirs inside us, bringing a smile to our lips. We wonder… does it still fit? Pulling
the sweater over our heads, we’re relieved to know it does. We model the ugly
sweater in front of the mirror, turning side to side... looking at all the
chotchkes on it... admiring it's reflection. The TRADITION will continue. And now the countdown to Christmas begins. If
you don’t have an UGLY SWEATER... you can pick one up in stores or thrifts, all across the country. Get
yours before it's too late. You don't want to head into the Christmas season... without one, do you?

I like your sweater. I do not have any ugly sweaters. I might need to make a run to Goodwill to remedy that.

Aw, you look cute! I can't decide if your tree is kicking up it's heels or tipsy? :)
Like Betty, I don't have any ugly sweaters. Since we're retired, I hope there won't come an occasion to run out and buy one.
As Myra said, 'Your's be cute!' Problem here is my girl ain't never met an ugly sweater, she loves 'em all. She even carries one all summer to use in tto much A/C or in the cooler sections of groceries stores. LOL
CUTE entry, neatly worded, I like it.

I beat my girl here today! She never comments, just reads and lurks. LOL
I wore ugly sweaters when I was teaching. The kicker is that the term "ugly sweaters" didn't exist. I guess we didn't know they were ugly?
It's hard for me to find a ugly sweater I think they're all cute. I'm not sure if I even have one that fits now but I'll think about getting out to look for one.
I wonder who initially came up with the idea of creating hideous holiday sweaters - - did they hate the holidays, or merely hate people in general?
Anyway, I like your Christmas tree sweater.
Beauty, and ugly, is in the eye of the beholder. I wear no sweaters. Only wild plaid flannel shirts in cold weather.
A few years ago I went to an ugly sweater party and saw a sweater I had donated being worn....lol...and it had been quite beautiful (and expensive) in its time. She won the 'prettiest ugly sweater' contest. lol I was mollified....xo Diana
I saw a few sweaters that others might think are ugly and I'm still debating which sweater is right for me. I may just debate until after Christmas and save myself $19.95. I do think I need to take some pictures for the blog.
Awe - your sweater is not ugly at all - you look adorable!
lol I can't do ugly sweaters. I don't even like to wear sweaters, period, not even pretty one lol!
The ugly sweater tradition is a funny one, Taryterre. I must say that I like your black sweater with the Christmas tree and colored ornaments. Keep the tradition going - it sounds like you enjoy it very much.
