Your new A/C is interesting. I just worked myself silly just sitting up a TV, I am wondering about the A/C.
Always enjoy dropping in here, never a disappointment. I will be glad when the booms stop completely. LOL
The best to you and yours. ;-)

I was singing those Stones' lyrics just yesterday!
So glad y'all got that a/c unit. Never heard of a portable before! These are the days my greatest fear is our a/c going belly-up. I'm a total whuss when it comes to the heat and humidity.

As we get older, toughing out the heat is dangerous. Besides, I am too old to be sweaty...lol. I would not be able to breathe after a few hours of heat. It is funny how tacky looks really nice sometimes. That unit is beautiful to me at my age. I am glad you got it to improve your quality of life. And, it may save your life. Heat is dangerous to us old folks.

Even though we too have lots of rain here, we haven't had any big storms. It's been peaceful ground soaking rain. Every thing is thankful for a good soaking. So glad you were able to get a unit to keep you cool. I depend on the air conditoner here for sure !

I am so glad you decided to invest in a device to keep you and your honey cool. You deserve to feel comfortable. Do you have to find a place to put the big tube outside, wherever you park it?

They may not look attractive, but I was so glad I had 2 portable ACs last summer when the temps were a record 116 degrees here. When I first moved to Oregon hardley anyone had AC. Now almost everyone has it. When you have health problems it isn't worth suffering or making yourself ill. I barely noticed a hike in my electric bill for running the ACs. I also found that it helps to wrap the exhaust hose with bubble wrap or a blanket to keep the heat it gives off so it doesn't contribute to making the room even hotter,
Stay cool.

Why sweat it indeed, Tarryterre, when the portable ac unit can and is providing such welcome relief. The purchase was a wise move all things considered, which you did ahead of time.
