NO MORE GLARE

I wear glasses. Can't function without them. But... when the sun's rays get too bright... I squint and shield my eyes with my hand. It makes driving difficult, to be sure. So... after years of doing this, I finally wised up, made the investment and ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses. I got the brown tinted ones because they showed the world around me in a more natural light. I love them. At last I can see, inside and out.

Those glasses do make a great difference. I have the ones that change as you go in and out of the sun light and love them.

I did the very same thing, and the sunglasses sure make driving in very sunny days, easier!

Glad you got some that satisfy you. I had prescription sun glasses and could never get used to them. Like you I had trouble driving and keeping the sun out of my eyes.

Good on you. Glad you got what you like, and it remains so.
My Sherry likes her glasses that transist.
BUT you are right, it is tough driving in a Glare.

Taryterre,
So glad you got some new glasses. Our eyes are so important to us. I got a prescription a couple years ago just for reading, and I have to say it did wonders for me. I'm sure you'll be able to drive much easier now.

Have a good week.

Love,
~Sheri

Great idea to get the sun glasses :) I know what you mean about squinting with the sun. I have the transition ones that adjust according to the outside/inside :)

enjoy!

You'll like them! I have some prescription sunglasses very nearly the same color as yours. I love them, but I do have a problem of forgetting to change back into my regular ones sometimes when I hop out to run into the store. :)

I don't wear glasses or contacts, but I have to wear sunglasses whenever I step outside and especially if I'm driving. I keep pairs in every vehicle and just about in every room of the house, because I'm constantly losing them. My eyes are so sun-sensitive, it can give me a headache if I don't wear them. So if I ever have to have glasses, I will definitely get some prescription sunglasses.

You look great in the style of frame you picked. I started making sure I always had a couple of pair of sunglasses in each car as soon as I started noticing the rapidly growing crop of crows feet I was sporting. The crows feet were from years of driving an hour each way to work. I was facing into the East in the AM and into the West heading home. I never really thought about what all that squinting was going to end looking like years down the road. Now I keep a couple of pair of sunglasses in each car.
I don't wear prescription glasses (yet), but yours are much cooler than the pair my Mom wire many years ago. They were the awful clip-on things that clipped over regular glass frame - they were not so cool!

A wise investment. I got my first pair a couple of years ago and use them all the time. Sometimes I forget I have them on and end up trying to shop with them on...not fun. When my prescription needs changing, I wait for a buy one get one pair free sale so I can have up to date sunglasses too. Enjoy them. I do.

It's amazing what a difference they make, isn't it? Glad you found ones that work for you.

Thanks so much for commenting on Sandie's post today. It's great to meet you! :)

I bought my first pair a few years ago and what a great thing to have! Driving is better and I also heard that they help prevent cataracts. I used the same frame a few times, just got new lenses to save money.

Happy House Wife posted your link on her blog. I've already mentioned it to her but I wanted to let you know. I cannot thank you enough for posting this! My new employer doesn't have vision insurance and we've been extremely stressed trying to get glasses for me as I've never had them tested. Yeah, I know, shame on me. Anyway, this link is a huge stress relief! Thanks for passing it on!
