month ago… I sauntered into a local restaurant we frequent… and low and behold,
something good was on the menu. PUMPKIN PIE. I love pumpkin pie. So I had my
first piece of the season. Have you?

It looks delicious! These days I've lost my sweet tooth so I rarely have any pie, cookies, etc. Enjoy the season!

Yes, I stopped at my favorite bakery and got a pie for the weekend. It had a layer of cheesecake on the bottom with a layer of pumpkin on top. I do love pumpkin pie and wonder why we only have it this time of year. Glad you got your first taste of pumpkin pie and hope it's on the first of many. They are popular all the way thru Christmas.

I bought an apple pie last week but haven't seen any pumpkin pies yet.
I LOVE anything made with pumpkin - - pie, bread, muffins, ice cream, and that fantastic pumpkin candy that the Mexicans make.

Not yet. Saturday was the first fall day of the season in terms of temperature and I'm holding off on fall treats. Soon!

I usually allow myself ONE slice a year ... it's almost a holy experience, best enjoyed in pj's.
(Then again, life's short as we're constantly being reminded. Maybe I'll make that TWO slices.)

I visited an orphanage once at a support rally, all donors were treated to a meal. I ate the best Pumpkin pie there I had ever eaten. I got to know the cook years later after she retired and she baked me one special. Loved it. But no, not yet this year! Glad you ENJOYED!
Oh, your pumpkin pie looks scrumptious, Taryterre. Haven't had my first piece yet, and I can't wait! Isn't it the best with whipped cream?

Oh that sure looks good! I love pumpkin pie but I'm going to have to dig out my sugarless recipe that I used to make for my dad since my blood sugar has been running sky high. I remember it was very good.

I love pumpkin pie, but I only love what I bake. It just became cool enough to bake. So, maybe this next week I will bake one. Actually, I will bake it in a casserole with no crust. Now, I cannot wait.
