SHOP TIL YOU DROP

These days... whenever possible... I shop online, sitting in my comfortable desk chair... in front of my computer. Delivery is often FREE of charge and delivery times are faster than fast these days... which  helps me avoid the traffic out and about. With that being said, the question is, will I participate in the local area Black Friday sales or not. The answer is probably not. This year for Christmas we’re eliminating the fuss and getting everybody gift cards. This way they can get what they want without me second guessing. No disappointment for them. And no hassles for me. And I’ll fill in the incidentals online, with a few item exceptions out in the physical store. I am an armchair shopper to my core. How about you?  Are you doing Black Friday? Or waiting for Cyber Monday?

I'm not doing either. I give my family money. I know its a boring gift but everyone mostly has what they want now days and I get too tired trying to find something different.

Grandson needed a crib so we decided to make it his Christmas gift this year (we'll get him a few small things for the actual day). I ordered it through Wal-Mart, got free delivery and within days of ordering it. That and the bedding I got to go along with it was the perfect gift he could enjoy when he needed it. The rest of my list is really small and will be gift cards too. Saves so much stress and worry about what to get, maneuvering the stores, traffic, etc.

Somehow I feel that Black Friday is more hype than anything else. I avoid it like the plague.

Long ago I vowed that I'd never shop online, but since then I've completely changed my mind. It's quick, easy (most of the time), and with a little serious searching you can exactly what you want.

I do just about everything online anymore. I can't stand the shopping crowds and malls anymore. It has lost its luster for me. xo Diana

I don't really shop at all on Black Friday. We used to do a country Christmas at a little town that had quaint shopes and a craft show, but gave that up when all the little grandchildren came a long. Now we're gathering on Friday for some crafting that involves all ages. We try to keep it a family day.

I remember a few years ago I read that soon a big percentage of shopping would be on line. I found that hard to believe, but now? I too do most of my shopping on line. I find WHAT I want, without a lot of running.
Not sure about online sales. I never pay much attention to them, I might start.

I think it's a great idea to do gift cards this year, Taryterre. Since Nel lives in Georgia right now, that's all she wants is gift cards because it's very difficult packing presents in her suitcase. I don't blame you for not doing Black Friday. I can't seem to ever get myself to go out that day. And I try to avoid all the crowds and traffic as much as possible. Have fun ordering things online. Yes, some of these places ship very fast.

Happy Thanksgiving, and I'm thankful for your friendship all these years. : )

Pajamas in front of the computer ... absolutely! I will be working 'Black Friday' and may lose on a deal here or there ... but peace of mind is far more important.

I'm not planning to leave my house this weekend! I'm definitely an online shopper anyway, an definitely so when it involves huge crowds and crazy hours. Most of my Christmas shopping is done, and I'm hoping to finish it up on Cyber Monday.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm not much of a shopper although it's necessary from time to time. My daughter wants me to go with her tomorrow but it's not for the Black Friday sales, couldn't handle that! Happy Thanksgiving!

You got the right idea! Unless you have to try it on, pick it online!

When I was younger I felt that gift cards was a cop out but since being older I find that they are so easy. I am acquiring 4 new grandson's in April but since they are already a part of my life I have included them in the Christmas giving and since I already have 3 grandson's and they all love playing video games, they are all getting gift cards to the local game store!!!
I am ALL ABOUT EASY these days.

A little of everything. I bought most of my gifts in the last six months when I saw things I thought people would like. I wandered into a few neighborhood stores on Friday and found one gift that the salesperson told me had free shipping and a sale on line. I went home and ordered it and saved fifteen dollars. May pick up a few things tomorrow, but I'm just about done and there will be sales all through December.
