In our travels... we came across a lovely old monastery in the
middle of nowhere. It had been converted into a living facility for senior
citizens, both male and female. It was breathtaking from a distance, as well as, up close and personal. Repurposing the building was a great idea. Don’t you agree?

A wonderful idea to reuse such a beautiful building.
Wow! What amazing architecture! It looks like a palace. I wouldn't mind living there......although I'd probably get lost.
I love that this glorious building was saved and repurposed for seniors. I always think old churches, academies, and schools should be used for housing rather than torn down. Blessings to you for a great new week. xoxo, Susie
I love it when old buildings are repurposed. That is a very beautiful and large one too. We are seeing more and more places here for senior living. But most of them are new and don't have half the character of the old buildings.
OH YES! What a beautiful building. It is made more beautiful knowing Love built it and Love will continue to live in it.
Like it or not I am getting close to the time when I will have need of such a place. If one lives long enough ONE will require assistance.
Love it sweet entry!
Very nice!!
Hi Taryterre. Did you by chance read my Friday, March 23rd post? You are in there! Check it out. The monastery to senior housing sounds like a good idea to me! Susan
Wow, this looks like a nice place to make a facility for senior citizens. Yes, it's a great idea to re-do the building. It looks like there's a lot of countryside around it too. It's always nice to see a picture of my blog friends once in awhile. : )
love, ~Sheri
I think that is fantastic to find a new use for this lovely building.
WOW! I'm in no hurry to relinquish my life-style, but I think it would be a privilege to reside at St. Charles Center.
Wanted to come by and wish you a Happy Easter, Taryterre!

What a fantastic idea! Now they get to live with the beautiful art and images on such amazing grounds. Plus, the building gets taken care of and looked at. Win, win. Who wants to love in those old, stale hospital buildings anyway? This place has character and life!
