OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW

This is our kitchen set. We have had it for 30 years.
One by one,
in the past year,
the welds on the chairs have given way,
spilling us on the floor.
Last week I ended up face first into the
vegetable bin of my refrigerator,
as a result of the last chair breaking.
So...
our little trip down the road,
took a detour to a furniture store.

This is what we found to replace the old set with.
Since our anniversary is next week.
We figured this would be the perfect gift to ourselves.
If it lasts as long as the last set, it should outlive us.
Thank goodness
my hubby has a temporary job
that PAID for it.

PS) COMING SOON an UPDATE on
yours truly's and my daughter's health.

The new set looks lovely. I've been looking at the state of my apartment and hope to do a few changes in the next year. Things that were new twenty years ago are a little worn. Enjoy!

With love to you!

PSALM 23

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD,
That's Relationship!

I shall not want,
This supply is!

MAKE ME WALK IN GREEN PASTURES,
This is rest!

He leadeth me beside the still waters,
This is refreshing!

He restores my soul,
This is healing!

GUIDE ME FOR THE PATHS OF JUSTICE,
That's Guidance!

FOR THE LOVE OF YOUR NAME,
This is on purpose!

THOUGH I WALK THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH,
That's Testing!

I will fear no evil,
That's Protection!

Thou art with me,
That is fidelity!

YOUR STICK AND YOUR staff they comfort me,
This is discipline!

Prepare a table before ME IN THE PRESENCE OF MY ENEMIES,
This is hope!

UNGE MY HEAD WITH OIL
That's Consecration!

And my cup runneth over,
That's Abundance!

SURELY GOODNESS AND MERCY A follow me EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE,
This is a blessing!

AND I WILL DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD
That's Security!

FOR LONG DAYS,
This is eternity!

May the Lord bless you and keep you!

In Christ,

***Lucy***

Those chairs look really comfortable. Glad you found some you like. I'm often tempted to replace some of mine but they aren't broken and they are over 30 years old. I just hate to get rid of something that is perfectly good. Happy Anniversary!

I see you stuck with the wheeled chairs. I sure enjoy ours. I fell in love with some my sister had and when I ran across these chairs at a yard sale I grabbed them.

Well I guess here is another 30 years, I think it is wise to use some thing up, seems like you did. That is good!

Awaiting the report and update!!!

Love from here./

You deserve to have kitchen chairs that are as steady as your marriage. Congratulations on the chairs and the upcoming anniversary.

Taryterre,
Oh my goodness, "Out with the old, and In with the new" is my favorite saying. Whenever I get something new, I always give something away. Your new table and chairs looks very much like the old ones. I think they are charming. I just bought a new table and chairs too, and I told my husband it would be for our anniversary coming up. Are we kindred friends, or what? Enjoy your new table. It's fun getting new surprises, isn't it?

Glad you made it through the furniture challenges without serious injury.

We had the same problem with our original chairs. We did like you, got new chairs only ours is wooden. That was when Joe and I were still working. We thought our pay checks were small but now on retirement thet were really big compared to what we get now. Your chairs are lovely. Enjoy
