GOING NOWHERE FAST

We were FLAT OUT of luck.
So we called our friends at
AAA.
Been members over 30 years.

In 15 minutes
they sent someone
to the rescue.
He JACKED up the car
and took the flat tire off.
Then CHECKED to see WHY it was flat?

He could NOT find a reason?
No holes, nothing stuck in it.
Just would not hold air.
So he couldn't put a plug in it.

My hubby and him
went to search for the spare tire.
We were not sure I even had one???

They found it
 but it NEEDED air.
The guy's compressor took
FOREVER
to fill it.

But eventually it did.
And he put the spare on the car.
Put on the bolts.

Tightened them.

And said
GOODBYE
while we put out
other fires that cropped up.
Like this fallen branch
for instance.

It's ALWAYS something.

"A bad attitude is like a flat tire.
If you don’t change it, you’ll never go anywhere."

I've never seen better documentation of a flat tire being repaired. I fixed my first flat when I was seventeen and I've been doing it ever since (a total of about eighty years.....or so it seems....)

You're right - it's always something.

Good to have road insurance, even if it is not used. Yep, it is amazing that some leaks are not readily spotted. Glad you got on the road though, those other fires must be put out!!!

I had nothing to give this week for BLOG material. Hence the documentary on tire changing. LOL I've always fixed my own flats too, Jon. Never was a man around to do it for me. But I'm old, TIRED, so's the spouse. I figured since we're paying for Triple A, we might as well use it. Of course a little while later, my hubby locked his keys in the car and we had to call them again.

ohhh ... a flat can ruin a day ... thank goodness for triple A! Had to laugh though at your comment about your hubby then locking the keys in the car. I think we've all had those kind of days at one time or another.

I've had AAA since I started driving. Long time now. I never changed a tire myself. And would hate to start doing it now. Thankfully it's still in my budget. They have even changed a dead battery for me and yes, have got my door open when I've locked the keys inside too. They even came to tow my car when I wrecked it. Hope all your other fires got put out there.

Yep. We are big believers in AAA, too. They have helped us many times.

Thank goodness for AAA. I pay for it and seldom use it but it's worth it when I do need it.

I'm such a firm believer in the great service AAA does that I pay for son's yearly membership for his vehicle. I appreciate the fact they are courteous, they show up within the time window they say on the phone, they get the car running or get it towed, etc. They do have a limit of how many tows they will do a year (at least here in Southern California) but if you exceed that tow, they will still come and tow you, but charge $60, which is a lot cheaper than calling a tow truck not associated with them. Highly recommend them and will always have them as a driver.

Glad they got you up and going again!
