MY PASSION IS TEA

I crave and covet my tea like some crave and covet their coffee. I love African Autumn or Chai Tea. And I enjoy going out to Biggby's or Starbucks to get it. But with a $5 price tag for the small size, it adds up fast. And truth be told, that is more than I can afford for a sweet indulgence. So I've gotten more thrifty. I used to make the chai from scratch. But TAZO has a formulation I can't quite replicate. And I LOVE the taste. It has just the right blend and balance of sweet versus peppery spice to make it scrumptious. So I buy a couple boxes when they are on sale and put them away to sample when the mood strikes me. And I buy a tin of the African Autumn sachets to do the same.  But rather than put them in a mug, like my regular hot tea, Constant Comment... I use the cups from the name brand coffee businesses I used to frequent. So I save money on buying the pricey teas and just have to wash out the paper cup to satisfy my cravings for being out and about.

A good way to compensate. I like tea, we drink more prepared tea, buying it be the gallon or half gallon. We keep several teas (Given by a dear cousin from San Fran) for special occasions. I like hot tea with Asian food.

It is good to have a comfort drink, that is also healthy.
Good entry.

Taryterre,
Very clever. The girls love Tazo Chai tea and often have a cup of that. I don't care for the taste myself, but I love the smell. My favorite is English Breakfast, and I was just reminded today of Irish Breakfast also, which I must get the next time I'm at the store. I love a good cup of tea too, Taryterre. It helps us through a hectic day. Have a good week ahead.

You are creative in how you enjoy your tea. It can get expensive indeed. Hubby and son like ice tea so they brew it using tea bags and ice; an eighth of the price of buying it "premade" so to speak and tastes just as good :)

I love Chai tea! Just the smell of it can make me swoon on a cool fall night. Never tried it iced, though. I bet that would be delish ~

I always tell people I am a coffee snob because I want it "just so": freshly ground and strong enough. I believe you have become a tea snob!

I love chai tea and have some K cups for my coffee maker so I can make my own. When it comes to hot tea I do love constant comment. But for the most part I drink iced tea and that is Luzianne, a blend of orange pekoe and black teas. I have to have my coffee in the morning but switch over to tea the rest of the day.

I'm not a big (hot) tea drinker, but every now and then I love to make a pot of apple crunch or peach apricot (my mom sends me tins of tea leaves).

Coffee is my weapon of choice. =)

I love a good Chai tea, but I don't like Starbucks or most coffee chains.

Write the company and see if they will send you come coupons, like them on facebook, and look up on the internet and see if they have any coupons. I love coupons.

I've never tried hot tea but do love good ole Luzianne sweet iced tea like Ma!! Of course, you know I love my coffee too! I love going to Starbucks also, but I can't afford to go very often either! Someone gave me a $10 gift card from Starbucks at Christmas! I've still got it and will use sometime!

I can not stand hot tea, but I like Ice tea but am not honestly a tea or coffee drinker. 2 cups of coffee a day and ice tea when we are at family gatherings.

I order whole beans to grind since it gives me a good taste, but is much cheaper than going the Starbucks. Enjoying a bit of guilty pleasure is a good thing, right?

We love tea too. I find my luxury is having it in a pot in a fine china cup (British style lol.) WE have about three different tea pots. If we have leftover I refrigerate it later for iced tea. My husband LOVES Irish breakfast and if you have a Trader Joe's they sell their own pretty cheaply. We buy Wegman's brand English breakfast which is high quality too and very reasonable.
