My hubby and I had the opportunity to go
see The Great American Christmas Show featuring Tony Orlando and his band. It
combined a hit list of his oldies but goodies, along with Christmas songs. He stressed
during the show that what was missing in most people's Christmas Decorations was a Nativity. He has lived in Branson , Missouri
for over 20 years entertaining audiences there. Popular back in the 1970's ,
Tony is best known for his song Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Old Oak Tree.

Nice treat in this wonderful season of the year.
That looked or sounded awesome!
What a great show to see! I do agree with him about decorations missing Nativity scenes. Driving around looking at lights here you rarely see anything Jesus related in people's decorations.
betty
It is hard to believe that Branson has been on the entertainment map for over 20 years.
What a thrill to see Tony Orlando and hear the new and OLDIES!
Neat for you guys...
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
I loved "Tie a Yellow Ribbon". Wish I could hear and understand it now..... (smile)
I would have really enjoyed seeing him. I saw him over twenty years ago and it was a great concert.
I haven't been to a Christmas concert in ages, They do put you in the spirit. I always have a nativity set out.
glad you had the chance to see this.
That was nice to be able to have this entertainment in your holiday season.
It sounds like it was a good show. I'm familiar with Branson because I used to go there quite often when I lived in Missouri.
Taryterre,
How fun that you got to see Tony Orlando in concert! Yes, I remember the song, Tie A Yellow Ribbon. I think that's true that what's missing in people Christmas décor is the Nativity scene. I bought one many years ago, and all the people are wearing real clothes with jewels. It's so pretty, and I may post it before Christmas.
Have a merry week.
Love,

Maybe that is what I need. Sounds like you both enjoyed it. I liked his songs.
