WHAT COMES NEXT?

Wondering if it was too late to be good? We anxiously awaited the big day like a couple of gleeful children.  We had a nice quiet, peaceful Christmas Day celebration, just the two of us. Santa was generous with his gift giving. Since I have no sense of direction Santa brought me a GPS device for my car and the cradle it goes in. Personally I think it will confuse me more, but Santa knows what is best. So I'm going to work with it and try not to become too flustered. Time will tell if it helps me find my way. My fingers are crossed. I also got a remote car starter for my car, which will help keep me warm in the cold, cold weather. A good thing, for sure. Now it's the day after the big holiday. Things should start heading back to normal. I was surprised when I went out to the stores, tonight... to find all the shelves had been picked cleaned. The mad dash for Christmas bargains is over. Now begins the new year. And the rush to celebrate Valentine's Day.

I love our GPS. I used to have to be the one that read the maps, so I'm glad to have Lola (we named it LOL) do the work for us :)

Son has a remote starter for his car; he likes it for that reason to warm it up before he heads to work.

I didn't go shopping today so not sure how the shelves look here, but I'm sure when I venture out this weekend hearts will be in abundance :)

Happy New Year!

Glad you had a nice peaceful Christmas. It was here too. I used to have a remote starter in my car and loved it.. I'm sure you will too. Hope the GPS works well for you too. With the long month of January ahead it will be nice to think about Valentines Day...a little closer to Spring.

Wishing you a good year 2014 and enjoy your new car gifts. I call the GPS "the girl in the box". I don't have one but my girls do. Most time we don't need anything to warm our vehicle up. The sun is always around in south Texas but not as much this winter. In fact its a cold drizzly day today.

Hey Santa was good to you. You adjust well to technology, so you will like the GPS, if nothing else it gives you someone in the box to argue with. hahahaha

Funny about your mention of Valentines. We just stopped to pick up some birthday cards, and sure enough ms Card lady was putting out the Valentines!

Taryterre,
A new GPS for your car - what a great gift! I'm so bad with directions also, but husband is amazing at it. I can't believe the stores were bare with Christmas stuff, but I have to say that Valentine's Day is a favorite of mine.

My wish for you in the new year is peace and joy, and I love what your new word will be......Believe.

Love,
~Sheri

I got out yesterday (Friday) and actually came home with an admirable stash of wrapping paper and ribbons- which for me adds up to about five rolls each. Now I'm just hoping we'll actually have stuff to wrap next year. =)

Even so, I am ready for the new year to begin. May yours be a blessed year to come.

You will love the GPS! I am spoiled with the one on my phone. In driving in a big new city traveling - sometimes I rent one with the car b/c you can see the streets upcoming and it's easier to use in places where you know where NOTHING IS. I used one in LA. But I use my phone around here. Yes, the Christmas is over. My family wanted to go shopping today. I wanted to stay home. So I am and they are out! Agreed to go to movies though I'm just tired of the hoopla! Want to rest!

my MIL gave us a GPS and we LOVE it. It's a problem when we go to Florida, as the Orlando area is constantly changing and we haven't updated our GPS, but other than that, it's a lifesaver. Hope you love yours, too. And remote start? Fabulous!

I don't know what I would do if I didn't have my remote starter. Joe got each of us one a few years back and here in Nebraska it is great to have. Glad you hada nice Christmas and hope you have a Very Happy New Year.
