Finding a
ZEN moment can be difficult in this busy world. The noise of traffic is always
close to hand here because I live near a busy hwy. The sound level can drive
you bonkers. So I am constantly on the lookout for peace and quiet. Solace can
be found in little nooks and crannies in
the most unusual places. Waterfalls, stained glass and music can also set the
scene. Where do you go to find your ZEN?

We drive some country roads where we don't meet another vehicle. I love quiet at times with the TV silenced but still hear cars on the highway a few blocks away.
Taryterre, I usually go to the nearby park or rose garden or trail close by. It is amazing how much nature brings us peace and quiet. Oh Yes, waterfalls and music are definitely a good place too. That yellow stained glass window is sooooo pretty.
Have a nice Sunday finding your peace and quiet, Taryterre.

A walk in the woods or even a walk in a neighborhood while everyone is inside enjoying their favorite TV programs..
Oh! My hubby would be over the moon for that stained glass, and I'm really taken with the rock waterfall.
I suppose my refuge is my car. I'm still observing its 'cone of silence' (lol) and early mornings, there's little traffic along those back roads that lead to the city. Thoughtful subject!
It's really hard for me to find total quietness because my ears ring 24/7. I find nature soothing and just gazing out my window at the birds, the pond, or the clouds brings me a measure of peace.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
In a quiet house all alone. Thankfully I have a lot of times like this. It does refresh me indeed.

Here at my new house it's pretty quiet. I don't know if it's because of the weather or not but all my neighbors are quiet ones and there's hardly any traffic at all on the street. I love that first window you pictured and would love like it here, but where to put it would be the problem.
After an entire lifetime of complete chaos I am finally finding some semblance of peace here in rural TN. Right now the wind is rustling through the trees (it's a VERY windy night).
The previous owners left a wonderful set of wind chimes on the front porch and I love them.
I also find solace in music and candlelight - and I really like stained glass.
If all else fails, earplugs work!
I live in a very quiet neighborhood. There is rarely any noise. I like to be here in the house or my yard watching my chicken.
Glad you can find your quiet time when you need it. I know it can be quite difficult.
When I'm home -- even with the NYC traffic noise -- I feel in a place of peace. No disturbances and I only answer the phone when I choose to. Home is my happy little nest.
