i have tried so hard to like oysters and i have never developed a taste for them. everyone else here loves them.
I haven't even TRIED to like them. When I lived in Seattle as a child, the kids next door used to go down to the Puget Sound beach after the tide went back out and dig for oysters and clams and then eat them raw right there on the spot. Yuck! I've never wanted to do that.
I don't care for oysters but my dad loved them. That picture looks like an awful lot of oysters to me
I haven't had oysters in years but my mom used to fix the best fried oysters in the world. Really I never had them any other place, but they were delicious. I wish I'd paid more attention then to how she made them.
I've never tried oysters, I don't know if I could even get past the texture of it in my mouth. My husband sure likes them though, just about anywhere we go, if he sees oysters on the menu he has to have them!
I like oyster stew, but that is the only way I can handle them. If I didnt have to look at them or chew them, I 'might' be able to take them raw, but I seriously doubt it.
I love them anyway they come. BUT I cannot shuck them. My favorite way is the lazy way, in Oyster Stew. (butter and hot sauce)
My favorite seafood.
No, I don't do much seafood! The only thing I eat is fried shrimp! Colt and hubby are the seafood eaters here!! They love it!! I know they have had steamed oysters!
I love rolled oysters. Thomas used to eat them raw when he was a kid. He says he wouldn't do that now, with all the pollution in the oceans.
I LOVE oysters! But, not raw. :)
Oh Taryterre, I'm not much of a fish person, except for lobster, crab, and shrimp. My brother- in- law used to send us crab from Alaska and it was very tasty. Actually, I don't think I've ever tasted oysters. Glad you enjoy them.
Love,
~Sheri
No oysters eaters here. I like some fried fish if it isn't too fishy and how I would expect fish to not be fishy? I have no idea.
No thank you on oysters for us. Glad you like them though.
Oysters fascinate me, but that's about as far as I'll go with them. Cool to look at, fun to think about, but not going anywhere near this girl. =)
Yes I like oysters raw and I can eat them fried, but raw is preferred. I know my younger brother likes them raw and my stepson too. Take care, Sheila
PS I'm behind on blogs, trying to get caught up.
