LOST DECOR & AUTUMN PUMPKINS

Once Labor Day arrives I'm in the mood for autumn to begin. I like to decorate my house with things that scream the new season. Last year I packed away my fall decor and it somehow got lost. Can't find the stuff anywhere. Frustrated... because my house is bare, and because my favorite store had no decorations for the autumn season out yet, I gave up shopping there until they did. This week they surprised me and finally put some items in the store. My favorite thing was now in abundance.
PUMPKINS.
Of every size, shape and color.
They were everywhere.
My favorites were the mini pumpkins with hats and hair.
And the painted pie pumpkins with toothy grins.
I'm delighted. Now I can decorate.
Let's give autumn a hand. It's the best season ever.

I wish I could remember to do things like that. It all takes me by surprise. What winter all ready?
Beautiful photos. Thanks....

Isn't it frustrating to lose something and you know it should be somewhere easily to find? I have a lighted pumpkin and can find it nowhere.

I love decorating this time of year. We've even had a few cooler days here that make it feel like fall is coming. Hope you do find the missing decorations. Meanwhile you have found some nice pumpkins!

I'm sure you'll find your fall decor sometime around Christmas (that's what always happens to me).

I love autumn so much but it's difficult to get into the mood here in west Texas. It's still nearly 100 degrees every day.

It's still plenty warm here, but I'm seeing pumpkins and mums as well as the faux leaves, etc. I LOVE fall! I love the way they've decorated the side of the box/container that holds the pumpkins. Have fun decorating!

Lots of great looking pumpkins! I was at Wal-Mart yesterday and saw all their fall/Halloween displays, it is getting that time I would imagine. Have fun decorating! Hope eventually you find your last year's decorations!

I love those cute pumpkins. I'm ready to bring out the fall decorations too. We have some cooler temps too, so it feels like fall is on it's way. I hope you have a great weekend, Sheila

Those pumpkins with hair, crack me up. I bought a bag of mixed gourds yesterday at the grocery store. I couldn't hold out any longer. Too bad about your fall decor. maybe it'll pop up somewhere soon.

I'm clapping for autumn, but haven't seen one pumpkin in New York yet. Not one! Did buy some new apples today, but am eager to get on with the pumpkins. Thanks for sharing.

I like Autumn... just not what comes after.. ;-) Last year I had all of my fall decorations in a bag and Gary thought it was trash, so now it is gone. Guess I have to do some shopping too...

Yep, I love the changing of the seasons, too. We decorated last weekend and although it has been hot and humid, I love coming home to my reds and yellows and oranges. Change is good for the soul. =)

Fall is my favorite season. I haven't pulled out my fall decorations yet because it is too warm outdoors. I'm not feelin' it yet.
I keep all of my holiday decorations, with the exception of Christmas- in a rubbermaid container in the guest room closet.
Happy Fall! Cheryl

Taryterre,
I love the pumpkins with the goofy faces! I will have to get one this year. So glad that your favorite store has Fall items out now. Isn't it fun to decorate for this season? I wonder where your box of Fall goodies went to?

Have a happy week decorating!

Love,
~Sheri

The local grocery store put bags of those cinnamon scented pinecones in their foyer area 2 weeks ago. I think they smell heavenly and of Autumn but not when it's still 90 degrees out. lolz
I guess I'll stay out of that store until the weather cools off some and I can enjoy the heady scent.
