BAIT & TACKLE & TOILETRIES

I have been traveling more since my hubby's new job has him on the road. And that means packing and unpacking suitcases. The zipper on my toiletry case broke so I was left with the chore of finding another case. It was impossible to find one that matched or one that was the proper size. I searched high and low and had just about given up. Then I saw a Shakespeare soft sided fishing tackle box and my problem was solved. Perfect color. PRICE was right. And the perfect size... once I removed the molded plastic tray... for fishing lures inside. I love it. I have discovered, in life there is a solution for everything, if you dare to look outside the box.

Good idea! Bet you're having fun traveling with your hubby. I used to enjoy going on service calls with my deceased hubby years ago. Sometime we went to other towns and sometime had to spend the night. When we were first married I wasn't allowed in the truck because of insurance rules. He was away from home so much the bosses finally just looked the other way and pretended to not know about it.

I have found out that is so often the case when You are looking for something. Things are settling down around here Chatty sounded surprised when I said my kids were unhappy with Joe. I guess not everyone knows that this was my 3rd marriage. My kids are from my first marriage. Divorce is not pretty but at times you have no choice...My second marriage produced 1 child who is in Texas. My husband died after 5 years of marriage. He and I were both 37. Serious heart problem. Joe and I have been married 45 years and the kids all respect Joe.However if the mam fixing the house next door aND THE MAIL LADY picking me up I would have been out in the sun at least 10 to 15 minutes, before Joe would hae seen me. He usually waits till I come back in before going out back.

What an EXCELLENT idea! I love it when people can discover alternate uses for an item. I can copy ideas but can't always think them up.

I just bought craft boxes with tiny compartments to store earrings in. I love finds like that.

I'm glad that you found another case that you liked, Taryterre. Since you are traveling more with your husband, think of all the interesting and wonderful things you'll discover along the way.

Happy September!

Or in this case, 'inside the box.'

How true. It's fun to use something for other than its intended purpose - shows creative thinking! It's a lot of fun to travel with your husband. It's one of our most fun things to do, even is there's work involved at the end of the road.

I use a tackle box for jewelry. Not what it was meant for, but it works for me. Enjoy your travels!

Great minds must think alike! I have a soft sided tackle box for my travel case also. It was one that I had gotten as a complimentary gift for signing my husband up for a magazine subscription. I already have 2 tackle boxes for my fishing stuff and my husband has his, so I figured what better way of using it than for travel.
