AND MANY MORE, BIRTHDAYS

 Ain't that the truth?

I have become set in my ways
and do not want to try NEW things.

My diet has changed.

I sometimes FORGET important things.

My clothes do not fit like
they used to.

I'm not as agile as I once was...
but I can still
'cut a rug.'

From time to time
I enjoy an
occasional libation.
"How about a toast
to my birthday?"

Binge watching TV is the
high point of my day...

Especially when the
screen fades to black...

video
Birthday girls
love
being serenaded.

But...
I'm easily winded,
Too many damn candles
to blow out.

I am FOREVER 39...

And utterly speechless.

Happy Birthday to my wonderful friend! You are a May girl too?!! The first time I saw that picture of the women and their bikinis was on a friend's blog, and I cracked up and couldn't stop for a few seconds. We get older, but we get better, Taryterre. Here's to many more years of joy and love.

I hope your birthday is a wonderful one, filled with many blessings and all good things.
We've all stopped counting after 39 - - I don't see any plausible reason why we should get older. A youthful heart and positive attitude is all it takes.

Happiest of Brithday Wishes for you on your perpetual 39th yr. May the forces of gravity be with you & delay any further sagging southward. Just had my birthday last week & find that there are fewer & fewer anatomical parts of my anatomy located where they used to be. Oh well, I guess that is what sturdy underware was invented for. Enjoy your special day & continue to maintain your ever young outlook on life along with the wisdom that life experience has given you.

Happy birthday to you!!! We might not like what our bodies are doing and don't like the lack of energy, but it is indeed a privilege to get "older". A lot of people don't get that privilege so ENJOY the day!

Happy, happy birthday!!! I am one year away from 70 but I don't feel that old most days and I've always said I haven't decided what I want to be when I grow up. lol! That means I don't plan to grow up...until I have to. Great post and I wish you the very best on this special day and all the weekend long!

I adore birthday, and this may be the cutest story-line I've ever seen.
All the illustrations are grand, but the singing dogs make me smile. (That wouldn't be YOU doing their voice-overs, would it?)
Hope you're enjoying a sweet day, and your (fiscal) new year has many happy surprises in store!

I can identify with so many of those cards. My sister and I collect cards all through the year and then send them to each other starting a couple weeks before our birthdays (May 10 and May 18). Sometimes we have as many as ten cards from one another - mostly silly but always one 'nice' one.

Happy birthday to you, my friend.

Taryterre, did you have a nice birthday? That is so special that we both have May birthdays. I guess you're a Taurus too - (a bit stubborn haha, a true friend, and loves her home). Sounds like us, doesn't it?

I loved the story today about your daughter's house and the peonies. I'm glad you have a few to remember that old house by. Old houses have so much character, and it's a shame that the library bought it and the house was bulldozed to the ground. This is a good picture of you with the peonies. I never gave this flower much thought until I saw them on a friend's blog, and now I love them. They're so pretty, yet sturdy at the same time. I guess you can call this your flower now, Taryterre, and whenever I see one, I'll think of you. :~)

love, ~Sheri
