My hubby has a job that keeps
him on the road more than not these days. And it keeps me here pining away for
him throughout the day. Even though we couldn't afford for him to be retired... I
got used to having him here at home. And now that he's elsewhere I get a little
lonely without his company. So we've found a way to keep in touch that is
better than the phone and cheaper too. We Skype via the computer. It's video chatting. I get to see
him and his surroundings and he gets to see me here at home. It's a win, win
situation for both of us. We also Skype with my parents back east. And my best friend. It's the
next best thing to being there. Do you Skype???

I don't Skype but my kids dad live.in Arkansas and is not in good health so they Skype a lot I have thought about it but really have no reason to. The grand kids in Tx. calls me all the time. I think that is cool that you and hubby can communicate like that.
I have an iPhone so am able to FaceTime with many of my children. It's wonderful to see them all right where they are. I can do it on my laptop too. Which ever one is handy at the time. I imagine it is the same as Skype. Glad your hubby is able to go back to work, but I image you do miss him.
i don't skype but it sure is a wonderful thing!
Yes, I do Skype with a missionary couple from my church, who are in England and good friends. I love keeping up through video conferencing. Have a good Monday.
WE do not skype. BUT oh how I can imagine the kids over seas stationed around the world, being to see the kids growing up, see the loves of their lives, rather than a letter that has been in transit for a week trying to reach them. What a blessing the modern technology.
IF I WERE TO BE SEPARATED FROM MY GIRL, YOU BET I WOULD SKYPE!!
I can barelly sign on the computer with wifi.
I don't skype near as often as I should, but I love it. When I skype with my parents or other family members, it really does make me feel like I am right there with them. I'm glad you're able to do that same thing.
I don't, but I should. I keep weird hours due to my job, so email is the best way for me to communicate. I can send email in the middle of the night without bothering anyone :)
Hi sweet lady! I have been meaning to stop by for a visit and haven't had a lot of chance. So I saw your comment and headed straight over! We do use video chat. We have the free oVoo. It comes in handy from time to time. I hope all is good in your neck of the woods besides missing the hubby of course. :)
I've never used skype, but seem to text message more than make phone calls. I checked my cell phone usage last month and it was eleven minutes.
It's funny that you mentioned this because one of my blog friends recently asked me if I wanted to Skype with her. Jess tried to set it up one time, but not sure it worked. I'm going to have to ask her to try again. I bet your husband just loves to see you when he's traveling. I'm sure you both miss eachother a lot.
Have a great week.
Love,
~Sheri
A few years back my granddaughter’s husband was stationed overseas. She used Skype to keep in touch and the two little one's (one and two) would say daddy lives in the computer.
Great Idea to Skype!
I understand being lonely.
What a wonderful thing Skype is for those who are apart! I don't Skype, but I know people who do. They love it.
I think skyping is great for those that enjoy it .
I get a little phobic about cameras staring at you while your on a computer I get visions of creepy hackers peeking in (phobia I suppose lol) ....even when the skype is off. I still have a prob with that computer camera staring at me (circle sticker over computer camera to the rescue ) Needless to say I have never use skype for that silly reason ...oh my. TMI. ;)
That is one thing good about the Smartphones! That is cute. sandie
